finally got a website! Thanks to Rob and the fine folks at
Boca IT, we now have a fully active and viable site. We will
post updates here periodically, but see our events calendar
for all upcoming shows and gatherings.

The
Alvida Art Gallery was born on April 1, 2003. It was
over 15 years in the making, as owners Judith Metzger and Anne
El-Habre graduated from art school at about the same time,
learned various skills and had experiences with the art world
that would prepare them for the exciting and often frustrating
world of gallery ownership.
Named for the first pirate female in history - Alvida, the
gallery slowly transformed from a somewhat disjointed effort
with no firm identity, to what it is today: a fresh exciting
mix of work from artists near and far with a solid and
bold foundation. All of the art represented is diverse
and yet cohesive; themes of life, nature, spirituality, and
the human experience blend in a perfect mix of various styles
and mediums. The Alvida Gallery is not the place to come
to find art to fill a space in a room
–
it is the place to come and find art to fill a void in the
soul.
